Setup and Getting Started
How it works
Get started by navigating to LinkedIn or Sales Navigator. Leadfwd Sidebar can access contact profiles found in multiple views within LinkedIn. Profiles can be selected for enrichment and contact verification in bulk or individually, including Individual Profile views, Search Results, Post Reactions, Event Attendees and Groups.
As you browse any of our supported views, Sidebar will automatically capture Contacts that you can then optionally select to add to your Sidebar Prospect List. As Sidebar collects Contacts, you can filter the results view by job title(s) to further target the right prospects. Contacts on your Prospect List can be then selected to be enriched and saved to Leadfwd.
Automating LinkedIn Activities: Profile Views, Follow Profiles, Send Connection Invite and Like their Most Recent Post
With just a couple of clicks you can fully automate LinkedIn engagement as you're saving prospects to your Prospect List.
Shuffle Mode
As Sidebar is saving profiles to your Prospect List, it will also automatically engage your prospects by viewing their profile and/or following their profile and/or liking their most recent post. Each of which will trigger an alert to the prospect that this activity has been made by your LinkedIn profile. This can be very useful in establishing some social credibility and name recognition before your next message arrives in the prospects inbox or they receive a call from you.
Saving and exporting
Contacts that are selected must be exported/saved to your Leadfwd Contact database, a connected CRM list using a native integration or by using Webhooks, Pabbly, Zapier, etc.
You can subsequently export your saved Contacts and enriched data to a CSV file from Leadfwd as well.
Segments
Segments are used to organize custom groups of contacts in your database. As an example, when exporting a specific set of prospects from LinkedIn (CIO from California), you can easily isolate these prospects into their own Segment to both engage and monitor separate from your entire database.
Tags
Tags offer a similar level of purpose to Segments, with the exception that you can export prospects from LinkedIn with multiple tags. Tags can then used to filter and organize contacts or automatically trigger follow up actions using Automation or Sequences.
Enroll in a Sequence
At the same moment that you export prospects from LinkedIn to Leadfwd, you can also optionally enroll those contacts into a specific Sequence. If your Sequence contains an email step with an Icebreaker, you will also be able to personalize your Icebreaker from the Prospect List view.
ChatGPT Powered Icebreakers
With our OpenAI connector you can generate icebreakers instantly using a prospects unique LinkedIn profile. Customize the tone as well as the beginning and ending of your icebreaker sentence structure.
Bulk Selection and Smart Save
For bulk selections our 'smart save' functionality will take over and run in the background, as long as you leave the browser tab open. The extension itself can be closed and it will continue processing contacts through Leadfwd. Our 'smart save' feature is designed to employ human-like saving patterns to both be polite and to protect the integrity of your LinkedIn account.

Industry events and subject-matter events are a great place to find prospects that might be a fit for your product or services. You can start by looking at your existing customers on LinkedIn to see what events they're attending, and signing up to attend yourself as well as looking for similar events.
🧊 A good icebreaker for prospects that you discover in Events can be as simple as... "I wanted to reach out as I see we are both potentially attending $event_name."
