Connect Leadfwd <> Smartlead.ai Integration

To begin, navigate to Settings & Profile in your Smartlead account (https://app.smartlead.ai/app/settings/profile)

Click on the “Activate API” button or if you have an existing key, click "Copy"

Then, proceed to the Leadfwd Sidebar Chrome Extension and navigate to Settings / Integrations

Paste your API Key into the input field under 'Smartlead.ai Integration' and click "Save"

LinkedIn Data Attribute Sync

Smartlead allows you to import up to 20 custom data fields for a single Campaign. These custom fields can also be used as variables for email personalization. Leadfwd will sync default values such as Name, Company, Website, LinkedIn profile - which do not count against your 20 custom data field limit.

You can select up to 20 data attributes that can then be exported with each lead to your Smartlead campaign.

Download CSV Template (optional)

You may optionally download a CSV template based on your data field selections to import into a new campaign before you begin adding LinkedIn prospects into the campaign. This can be useful for establishing custom fields in your campaign in order to add them as personalization {{variables}} into emails before you begin adding live leads. The CSV template will only contain the structure for the fields you select along with the default fields.

Create Icebreakers at scale or individually

Leadfwd enables you to optionally create custom icebreaker or one-liners that are personalized for each prospect that you're exporting. These icebreakers can be applied as a template, with personalization, to every contact that you're exporting - or they can be custom tailored individually. The icebreaker can then be translated into your emails using variable {{leadfwd_icebreaker}}. Just make sure you select Leadfwd Icebreaker in the Custom Field settings to sync.

To create an icebreaker, click on the "Add Icebreaker" button under your Smartlead Campaign selection.

Then, enter a relevant Icebreaker in the view provided. You can view and insert personalization variables by typing "#".

You can also select from previously generated Icebreaker templates, from the Recent Icebreaker menu.

When you're finished, click "Save Icebreaker" to apply your template to each of your selected prospects.

To edit an icebreaker for an individual prospect, you can click the icon next to any prospect in your LinkedIn results view. Editing the icebreaker from this view will only apply to the individual prospect.

Export Prospects to a Smartlead.ai Campaign

Once you finish your selection you can begin the export process from LinkedIn to your Smartlead Campaign. The export process will run on autopilot from the Leadfwd extension. You can minimize your tab the extension (in pop-out mode) and let it run.

Click the "Process and Export" button to start the automated process:
