One of the most common questions we receive is "Do you sync email activity with the SugarCRM Campaign Module" and the answer is Yes! In this article we'll explain how, when and what we sync with the Campaign Module.
What functions sync with the Campaigns Module:
Email Campaigns
When you send a standard email campaign on LeadFWD, you have the option to assign that campaign as a SugarCRM campaign. In effect that option allows you to send your campaign directly to the Target List(s) in your SugarCRM instance or CRM List(s) in your LeadFWD account. But, the really cool part is how we operate in the background to make that process is painless as possible.
Once you select your target list(s) and schedule your campaign, our platform automatically begins extracting the target data from your CRM that's required to send your campaign (i.e. Email Address and any Custom Fields selected). During this process we are also checking for and ignoring records that are flagged as Opted-out and Invalid. We also ignore duplicates.
When your target data is finished extracting and provisioning in our system, your campaign is set to pending awaiting the delivery schedule that you set. As soon as the scheduled delivery time arrives and the campaign begins sending, the next phase of our seamless integration begins. Now we automatically create a new Campaign within your CRM, assign all of the targets from the list(s) you selected for your campaign and then we begin synchronizing recorded activity.
We report and record the following data to your CRM: Messages Sent, Opened, Click-thru (by target), Bounces and Opt-outs. The activity is also recorded to each individual targets record, so that data can be accessed on a target-by-target basis.
If any of your targets opt-out or if the delivery attempt results in a hard bounce, the record is flagged accordingly as Opted-out or invalid.
Automated Campaigns > Send Email Action/Content Stream
The Send Email or Content Stream actions that are attached to Automated Campaigns function in virtually the same manner as a standard 1:1 email campaign would.
Every Send Email or Content Stream action that you create in an Automated Campaign will have its own, unique campaign ID created under the Campaigns module in SugarCRM. All results associated with the particular Send Email Action or each content within the Content Stream. So, if your Automated Campaign has (5) five unique Send Email/Content Stream actions, then there will be (5) five separate campaigns in SugarCRM. Each named accordingly so that you can easily identify them.
We report and record the following data to your CRM: Messages Sent, Opened, Click-thru (by target), Bounces and Opt-outs. The activity is also recorded to each individual targets record, so that data can be accessed on a target-by-target basis.
